Nina Proll is one of the most famous actresses in Austria. In between many other theater-, tv- and filmprojects she took the time to shoot Talea in the summer of 2012. The film is shot on locations in the Northern Waldviertel in Lower Austria, the places of her youth.

At the time of the shooting Sophie Stockinger was 14 years old and brought a few years of stage experience to the set. Talea is her first film.
